Today wasn't too intense, mostly tying up loose ends. We did spend some time on CPS (Child Protective Services) investigations because it is reasonably likely that we will be reported at some point--a risk of foster parenting. The key is to document everything and diligently report to the social worker and CPS things that happen. Cover your butt was the message.
We also went over making an informed decision about a child/children before they enter your care--knowing what questions to ask before placement.
After that we talked about the licensing process and the WAC (Washington Administrative Code.) This part was mostly question and answer--really good clarification on the rules, particularly in regard to the home inspection.
Yeah! We are done with PRIDE! On to the application and all that comes after...
